First Year Goals

Short blog post here - inspired by a post I saw in a Facebook group recently. Context: someone had asked what a realistic goal is for her first year in real estate, specifically around how much money she can expect to make. Here was my response:

Soooooo first year goals are kind of a crap shoot, in my opinion. Unless you’re a hardcore hustler who’s going to hit the streets/phones every single day, the results will be wildly different depending on your circumstances when you start…i.e. your sphere. If all your local friends are in downsizing mode and are about to sell their huge family homes, you’ll likely have more sales than the person with zero sphere or the 20 year old who’s friends are still in college. It’s just the truth.

That said, I’d recommend setting goals based in the lead gen actions you will take every day, instead of how much money you’ll end up making.

If you’re in the first few years of your business and are looking for some guidance setting realistic goals for yourself, book a free call with me here, and we'll talk it out together.
