No, you do not have to cold call

My first year in real estate sucked. I worked myself WAY too hard, too many hours, was yelled at by too many FSBOs, and signed exactly zero contracts from all the effort/time/money I spent cold calling.

Not. Worth. It.

Yet almost every training I went to kept preaching the same message: if you're not hitting your goals, call more people.

The underlying message..."you're just not working hard enough."

Which was complete BS. I was working my butt off. Still not seeing the results the instructors promised, though.

Ok, so what was wrong with me? (That's a dangerous road to go down, but we all do it).

It took me a LONG time to realize there was nothing wrong with me. I simply wasn't doing the right things, using the best strategy for me as an individual.

I was trying to fit myself into a box, a model, one that was proven to work, sure, but not one that would work the same way for everyone.

Because guess what. We're all different! So shouldn't our lead gen strategies look different, too?

So, I started doing things I actually enjoyed and my business grew. A lot. And I was able to work fewer hours and experience much less stress. Magic!

Except it wasn't magic. It was strategy. It was simply giving myself permission to stop doing what didn't work (for me, that was cold calling) and put more energy into things that were working (for me, networking) and building a system around it to do it consistently.

Now, I’m thrilled to share this knowledge with others in the industry and to encourage you to build your business YOUR way. You’ve got this. And if you need some help, schedule a call with me and we can chat.
